Spring Recital- Friday June 10th, Pocatello High School Auditorium, 7:00pm.  Featuring all of our DSDS dancers, and all performing company members. Admission is Free!

Concert-This will be Featuring our very own Tuellerttes and a special guest performance  dance with Chyna Lee Smith and her odyssey dancers. Saturday June 11th, Pocatello High School Auditorium 7:00pm.  Admission for the concert is $7.00 tickets can be purchased at the door and at DSDS Next week.

Dear DSDS Parents/ students/Futures students we are trying something new!
We will start Summer AND FALL registration June 6th, from 5:00-7:30pm.
Yes, you heard it right, we are trying something new this year for fall registration. We are doing what we call Pre-Registration, this gives everyone the opportunity to register for their FALL classes in May. We are excited to do this because it gives parents the opportunity to get their dance schedules FIRST, so that we can avoid schedule conflicts with other activities. It will also help you get the classes you want for your child for next year, we hope to make this a continued tradition for years to come.
Here is what you can expect from Pre-registration
1. A tentative fall schedule (depending on how classes fill, we will try to keep it as much the same as possible)
2. A detailed description of prices for classes, costumes, & extra fees.
3. Parents will be able to sign up for Auto-pay, which is where we can automatically withdraw payments from your credit card/bank account on a monthly basis. We have been asked for years to do this, because most people don’t like writing checks anymore and we finally will have it! Yay, easier for everyone!
4. Important dates for you for the 2011-2012 dance season
5. Helpful & friendly staff to help you get a sign-in name, password, and fully understand our online system!

If you cannot attend Summer/Fall registration Its OK, you will be able to register online all throughout the summer.

We will not be offering summer classes all summer long, instead we are offering 2 weeks of intense packed classes for our students. We encourage all to partake in both weeks; because we feel it will be vital to keep up their skills that we have worked so hard on throughout the year. However, we do understand that summers can be busy, so just make it to what you can. Those who are coming to auditions May 20th and plan to be in performing companies next year absolutely must take at least one week of summer lessons.

Classes will be held June 20th-24th and August 8th-12th.

Important info regarding our first competition this Saturday February 11th:

You will need to arrive at Weber State University at the Val A Browning Center, 3750 Harrison Blvd, Ogden, UT at the following times:

MPC-1:30pm (Tarzan)

JPC-12:00noon (Technologic, Bieber Fever)

SPC-8:45am (Swag City, Waka Waka)

TDT-12:00noon (if you are only in Hair and Monster)

9:00am (if you are in Movin Out)

The competition will be done around 4:30, awards will be held at 5:00pm.  Admission is $7.00 or if you bring a can of food and get in for $4.00!

We will be having Costume Pick-up/ MANDATORY parents meeting Friday February 11^th, 2011.  Please have a representative there for each student.  We will be answering all questions, showing you make-up, hair, and how to wear the costume for each individual dance.  We will not hand out costumes before this, nor will we bring your costume with us on Saturday, so please DO NOT miss this parents it is very important and beneficial to begin our competition season.

Please come at the following times for costume pick-up:

MPC-4:00pm (Tarzan costumes will be available)

JPC-4:30pm (Technologic & Bieber Fever costumes will be available)

SPC-5:00pm (Waka Waka & Swag City costumes will be available)

TDT-5:30pm (Monster, Hair, & Movin Out costumes will be available)

You WILL NOT be able to pick up any costumes if your account balance is not current; this includes tuition and costume fees.

Please make sure your child has the appropriate shoes and tights (beige tights and beige gore boots) for their first competition.  If you have not purchased a new pair of tights since last year and they have been wearing them all year long, it is time for a new pair!

We are so very excited for our very first competition!  We have worked so hard to prepare, and  have had great success here in the past and we expect the same result from our fabulous performing company teams this year!
